On Monday Evening, March 30, 2009, The Portland Civic Theatre Guild Celebrated 50 years of service to the Portland Theatre Community with a Gala event held at The Old Church.  The catered event and related efforts raised over $5,000 for the newly created Mary Brand Youth Theatre Scholarship Fund, named for the Guild's founder.

President Chrisse Roccaro greets founding Guild member Lannie Hurst at the Gala.  More than 100 people enjoyed an elegant buffet supper created by Guild member Jane Holmes Reed and her crew.  Wine, beer and beverages were donated by Columbia Distributors, Firestone Beer & Columbia River Coffee Roasters. Pianist Jeffrey Kauffman provided dinner jazz.

The wonderful evening was capped by entertainment conceived by Guild member Adair Chappell and Ron Daum, and performed by Chrisse Roccaro, Ron Daum, Debbie Hunter & Joe Theissen (pictured), accompanied by Bill Wells.
The cast of the 50th Anniversary show takes a bow.
A broken ankle couldn't keep Guild member Doreen Iverson away.  She's being greeted by Guild President, Chrisse Roccaro.
